SQUAW CREEK GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Willow Park, TX, USA
Designed by Ralph Plummer

Squaw Creek Golf Club sits in Willow Park, a small community in the Fort Worth metropolitan area of north-central Texas. Designed by Ralph Plummer and opened in the mid-1990s, the course occupies rolling terrain characteristic of the region, where the landscape transitions from the flatter prairies to the east toward the more varied topography of the Cross Timbers. Plummer, a Texas-based architect active primarily in the latter decades of the twentieth century, designed numerous courses across the state with an emphasis on playability for a range of skill levels.
The routing works through natural elevation changes and incorporates native grasses and stands of oak and mesquite trees that define the Cross Timbers ecosystem. Water features appear on several holes, typical of residential golf developments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area during this period. The layout balances risk-reward opportunities with straightforward holes, reflecting Plummer's approach to creating courses accessible to members while maintaining strategic interest.
Squaw Creek functions as a semi-private facility serving both members and daily-fee players in the western suburbs of Fort Worth. The club provides a local option for golfers in Parker County and the surrounding communities, fitting into the network of courses that expanded across the Metroplex during the region's suburban growth in the 1990s. The course remains a neighborhood amenity in Willow Park, which has grown considerably since the club's establishment.
Reviews
This layout allows for golfers of all skill to enjoy it. Greens are always in great shape even in the dead of summer. Range also has a short game are which is rare in this area. No restaurant and it’s BYOB.
