GAYLORD SPRINGS AT OPRYLAND
🇺🇸 Nashville, TN, USA
Designed by Larry Nelson
Springhouse at Gaylord Springs whispers a distinctly Nashville tune, a golf course born from the city's vibrant spirit and shaped by the legacy of country music. Carved into the undulating landscape near Opryland, this Gene Bates design presents a contemporary parkland experience. The course weaves through gently rolling terrain, demanding strategic play as much as sheer power. Favoring those who can shape the ball, its generous fairways are subtly guarded, and the greens, receptive yet nuanced, reward thoughtful approaches.
While Springhouse hasn't played host to major championships, it holds its own as a beloved local haunt. Its relaxed atmosphere reflects the easygoing nature of Nashville, where business deals and friendly wagers are struck with equal measure. You'll find an eclectic mix of players here, from seasoned veterans to weekend warriors, all drawn to the accessible challenge and welcoming ambiance.
Adding to its unique appeal, Springhouse, beyond its meticulously kept grounds, is known for its post-round jam sessions. Informal musical gatherings often spontaneously erupt, lending an authentic Nashville flavor to the 19th hole. A place where a birdie can be celebrated with a blues riff, and a good round earns more than just bragging rights.
Reviews
True links layout with a lot of water around. Greens were in good shape but rest of the course was quite dry. Steep price tag but cool track.
Gaylord Springs is a true links course. Has one of the biggesst clubhouses ive seen a public course have, with phenomenal locker rooms, food, and pro shop. Its very pretty with a lot of the holes running parallel to the river and close to mountains. Price was a little steep but for how nice everything is I think that its worth checking this one out
