INNISBROOK RESORT AND GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Palm Harbor, FL, USA
Designed by Larry Packard

South at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, carved into the Florida landscape near Palm Harbor, presents a captivating challenge far removed from typical resort play. Built in the early 1970s, it doesn't boast Golden Age pedigree, nor does it cling to modern championship length, but its strength lies in its strategic design and subtle complexities.
The course meanders through gently rolling terrain, a pleasing departure from the often-flat Florida stereotype. Its parkland setting is defined by towering pines and strategic water hazards. South demands intelligent shot placement, rewarding thoughtful players who can manage its doglegs and well-guarded greens. While not a brute off the tee, wayward drives are severely penalized by thick rough and strategically placed bunkers. The layout subtly favors a strategic player.
The club's appeal extends beyond the course itself. Innisbrook has a relaxed, social vibe. The club fosters a welcoming atmosphere for those seeking camaraderie on and off the course. The Grill Room is the place for a bite after play.
Reviews
Just an average Florida course with a big name attached (with Copperhead on property). If you’re going to make the trip here, play the island course or CH. Had some cool links style holes but overall, this is not worth the money.
