TPC AT SNOQUALMIE RIDGE
🇺🇸 Snoqualmie, WA, USA
Designed by Jack Nicklaus
TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge opened in 1999 as part of the Tournament Players Club network, designed by Jack Nicklaus on a forested site in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle. The course occupies rolling terrain carved from dense Pacific Northwest woodland, with elevation changes that provide views toward Mount Si and the surrounding Cascade peaks. Nicklaus routed the layout to incorporate the natural topography, creating a mix of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies while preserving stands of Douglas fir and cedar that frame the fairways.
The design emphasizes strategic bunkering and large, undulating greens characteristic of Nicklaus's work from this period. Water comes into play on several holes, including ponds and creeks that wind through the property. The course has hosted various regional tournaments and qualifiers, serving as a competitive venue in the Seattle golf market. The TPC designation reflects its original intent as a tournament-ready facility, though it operates primarily as a daily-fee course accessible to public play.
The setting combines mountain scenery with the dense forest typical of western Washington, and the course experiences the region's wet climate, which keeps conditions green much of the year. The layout measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees, providing length and challenge for accomplished players while offering forward tee options that make the course playable for a range of skill levels.
