SIMI HILLS GOLF COURSE
🇺🇸 Simi Valley, CA, USA
Designed by Ted Robinson Sr.

Simi Hills Golf Course, a local favorite nestled in the eponymous valley, is a testament to accessible golf, offering a forgiving layout that welcomes high handicappers while still presenting enough strategic interest to engage more seasoned players. The course meanders through rolling, golden-hued hills, characteristic of Southern California's inland terrain.
Originally designed in the late 1960s, Simi Hills presents a classic, straightforward design. While no single architect is prominently associated with the course, its enduring appeal lies in its playability and the unpretentious atmosphere it cultivates. Fairways are generous, and the greens, though subtly contoured, rarely punish errant approaches with severity.
Simi Hills holds no significant championship pedigree, content in its role as a community hub for casual rounds and friendly competition. It remains a relaxed golfing experience for those seeking an enjoyable outing without the pressure of a demanding, tour-caliber track.
Reviews
Back 9 is where this place shines. Won’t knock your socks off but scorable and generally good conditions.
I don't have a ton to say about this golf course as a strategic challenge, but it's always in the best condition of LA county public golf courses. There's a couple of funky holes, #12 comes to mind, but you're not going to walk away hating it or anything.
