PINE VALLEY GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Pine Valley, NJ, USA
Designed by Tom Fazio

Pine Valley Golf Club is a crucible, forged in the sandy earth of the New Jersey Pine Barrens and steeped in an ethos of unyielding challenge. It is a singular experience, a demanding test designed to humble even the most accomplished players.
Crafted during the Golden Age of course design by George Crump (with critical contributions from H.S. Colt and A.W. Tillinghast after Crump's untimely death), Pine Valley bears the marks of a course intentionally sculpted from nature. The wildly undulating terrain demands strategic shot-making more than brute power. Often requiring carries over expanses of native scrub and strategically placed bunkers. Accuracy is the most prized virtue here. The course is known for its forced carries from the tee and approach shots over hazards to receptive greens. The course offers a classic design featuring dog legs and blind shots over sandy scrub as well as undulating terrain.
The club remains fiercely private and deliberately understated; Pine Valley is less about spectacle and more about the purity of the golfing experience. The membership draws from the titans of industry, military heroes, and amateur golf legends - a reflection of the club's values of character and dedication. Lunch at the halfway house featuring simple fare such as hot dogs and hamburgers is not to be missed. It remains a place where the traditions of the game, and the enduring challenge of the course, take center stage.
