SHARK'S TOOTH GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Lake Powell, FL, USA
Designed by Greg Norman

Shark's Tooth, carved into the Florida panhandle near Panama City Beach, is a testament to Greg Norman's assertive design philosophy of the early 2000s. The course sits amidst a coastal sanctuary, defined by rolling fairways framed by native pines and wetlands. It favors the confident striker, unafraid of demanding carries and strategic doglegs that reward calculated risk-taking.
Norman's design incorporates elevated greens guarded by meticulously sculpted bunkers, demanding precise approach shots and challenging even seasoned players. The undulation and brisk coastal breezes prevalent in this area add another layer of complexity, transforming a seemingly straightforward par-4 into a strategic puzzle.
While not a mainstay on the professional tour circuit, Shark's Tooth is a respected test of golf within the region, appreciated by its members for its challenging layout and commitment to environmental stewardship. Members take pride in the untouched character of the course's surroundings. The course is a place of community, often highlighted by sunset gatherings on the clubhouse patio, where stories of the day's triumphs and near-misses are shared over a plate of the club’s famous spicy shrimp tacos.
Reviews
Pristine. However, this course is super difficult. Tough to find the fairway off the tee.
One of the easiest courses at Watersound club. Fun Greg Norman design with a really challenging stretch on holes 4-6 from the back tees. Typically in pretty good condition.
Wonderful track, practice area leaves a bit to be desired though. Condition is great but lack of target greens is unfortunate.
Nice track. One of the best courses in the area. Gotta know a member.
Played the ACC Championship there and the course was likely in the best shape it will ever be in. No interest in ever returning
