SEMINOLE GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Juno Beach, FL, USA
Designed by Dick Wilson, Donald Ross

Seminole Golf Club, a bastion of understated excellence in Juno Beach, Florida, is where power brokers and golfing legends alike find common ground amidst the Atlantic breezes. Carved from a sandy, scrub-filled landscape typical of the Florida coast, the course, while relatively flat, presents a strategic challenge demanding thoughtful shot-making rather than brute force. Many fairways offer subtle undulations that can kick even the most well-struck balls into trouble.
Designed by the legendary Dick Wilson, Seminole, an early example of his design, reflects a Golden Age sensibility with its emphasis on natural contours and strategic bunkering. Subsequent enhancements by notable architects have only deepened its mystique. The course favors those who can shape the ball, navigate the ever-present wind, and execute precise approaches into deceptively small greens.
While Seminole has largely remained outside the professional tournament spotlight, its membership roster reads like a who's who of industry titans and decorated golfers. This exclusivity fosters an environment of relaxed camaraderie, where business deals are whispered on the practice range and the pressure is on to perform.
Reviews
so, so, so good. The course was absolutely spectacular and the people are awesome. everyone so nice
Seminole is as good as it gets. From the locker room to the caddies to the course it is an 11/10 day any time you tee it up there. I was fortunate to play about 3 weeks before the Walker Cup and it couldn’t have been in better shape. The caddie yard is one of if not the best in the country and they quickly learn your game and can read a putt like you’d never believe. The closing stretch is truly unbelievable and I would give anything for a second chance at 17 & 18 after mistimed shots into the bunkers derailed my under par back 9
Seminole is the ultimate golfer’s golf course, up there with Merion, NGLA, and Cypress Point in terms clubs that put golf above all else. The history is felt from the moment you step on property, the membership is intensely competitive with super high golf IQ through and through. Foursomes play under 3 hours and 30 minutes walking and members report their daily scores to the starter when coming off of 18. The recent restoration work on the front 9 by Gil Hanse has brought back the historic green sizes and introduced much more dynamic putting surfaces and pin positions. The back 9 is as strong a routing as you will ever find anywhere and you’re guaranteed to get a good game as a guest no matter who you play with. Probably underrated on the top 100 lists, I can’t imagine a better day of golf. One of golf’s greatest locker rooms too.
What can I say…the drive in is surreal. The service is unmatched. The men’s locker room pulls you in like a riptide. The elevation change for a course so close to the Atlantic is amazing. I haven’t been since the renovation but played it 2 times in the last 3 years, a day here is what dreams are made of.
