Sand Creek Golf Course in Idaho Falls opened in 1972 to a design by William P. Bell, a prolific California-based architect who worked extensively throughout the western United States during the mid-twentieth century. Bell, son of the noted designer William F. Bell, created numerous municipal and daily-fee courses characterized by strategic bunkering and routing that made efficient use of available terrain.
