Sancti Petri Hills Golf sits along the Costa de la Luz in southwestern Andalucia, near the historic fishing village of Sancti Petri and the broader resort area of Chiclana de la Frontera. The course was designed by Manolo Piñero, a Spanish professional golfer who competed on the European Tour during the 1970s and 1980s and later turned to course architecture. Piñero's design work in Spain typically emphasizes strategic variety suited to the region's terrain and climate. The layout occupies gently rolling terrain characteristic of this coastal zone, with elevation changes that provide views toward the Atlantic and the surrounding Andalusian countryside. The routing incorporates natural contours and Mediterranean vegetation, including pine and cork oak, which frame holes and influence play. Water features appear on several holes, and bunkering follows a traditional style that rewards accuracy from the tee and thoughtful approach play. Sancti Petri Hills serves both resort visitors and local members, reflecting the area's growth as a golf destination within the Cadiz province. The course is part of a residential and leisure development, typical of Spain's coastal golf properties developed during the tourism expansion of recent decades. The region's mild winters and abundant sunshine make it playable year-round, attracting golfers from northern Europe particularly during the off-season months.
