Originally designed by the lesser known John La Foy, the course reflects a mid-century design. Athens Country Club is characterized by tree-lined fairways and subtly contoured greens. While not nationally prominent, its loyal membership and consistent conditioning make it a beloved course for those in the Classic City.
The club's heart lies in its friendly membership and storied local competitions. Great course for every day play. Played in the winter when it was wet so will need to get back in peak conditions. Very classic Ross with greens being the defense of the course
