ROOSTER RUN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Petaluma, CA, USA
Designed by Fred Bliss
Rooster Run, a Petaluma mainstay since 1998, delivers accessible golf amidst the rolling hills of Sonoma County. Architect Tim Freeland crafted a player-friendly layout, foregoing penal rough for forgiving fairways.
The course embraces its pastoral setting. Wide landing areas encourage aggressive play off the tee, while strategically placed bunkers demand thoughtful approaches to the greens. Gentle doglegs and subtle elevation changes provide variety without overwhelming challenge. This is golf best enjoyed with friends and family – the kind of course where a casual round doesn’t turn into a scorecard catastrophe.
Rooster Run offers a respite from the pressure of championship-caliber courses. It’s a place where laughter and camaraderie echo across the fairways, where seasoned players can work on their game and newcomers can find their footing. The club champions good times and fair prices for the everyday golfer.
Reviews
Another great course that is underrated in the area. Not the most challenging course, but a really great time to play. Always in great shape. Very well maintained.
Beautiful green fairways and fun seeing planes landing and taking off throughout the round
