RIVERCHASE GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Coppell, TX, USA
Designed by Jim Fazio

Riverchase Golf Club in Coppell, Texas, is a daily-fee facility designed by Jim Fazio and opened in the mid-1990s. The course occupies land in the northern Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs, where residential development has shaped much of the surrounding landscape. Fazio, nephew of Tom Fazio and part of a prominent golf architecture family, created a layout that works within the relatively flat terrain typical of north-central Texas, incorporating water features and mounding to define holes and add strategic interest.
The routing makes use of several lakes and creeks that come into play on multiple holes, requiring golfers to navigate forced carries and manage risk around hazards. The design includes generous landing areas off the tee balanced by approach shots that demand accuracy to elevated or well-bunkered greens. Mature trees frame many fairways, and the course has developed a parkland character as landscaping has matured over the years.
Riverchase serves the Coppell and greater Dallas area as an accessible public option, drawing local players and visitors seeking a straightforward test without the premium pricing of private clubs. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse with typical amenities for daily-fee operations in suburban Texas. The course reflects the era's design trends of incorporating water prominently and shaping terrain to create visual definition on otherwise modest topography.
Reviews
Naw just skip this. Weird holes, blind shots, funky greens. Played well and I attribute it entirely to dump luck. Front nine is brutal, back nine is playable. Not a good muni choice.
