COLUMBIA COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Blythewood, SC, USA
Designed by Ellis Maples

Ridgewood/Lakeside at Columbia Country Club is where South Carolina golf tradition finds its most amiable expression. Situated in Blythewood, just outside Columbia, the club features two distinctly styled nines that blend into the rolling landscape.
The original Ridgewood nine, built in the early 2000s, presents a modern parkland layout. Large undulating greens define the challenge, rewarding thoughtful approaches, while generous fairways encourage aggressive play from the tee for longer hitters. Lakeside, added later, weaves through more varied terrain bringing water hazards into strategic play on nearly every hole. It is narrow with dog legs. Favoring faders. The course is playable for amateurs but challenges pros.
Though not a championship venue, Columbia Country Club quietly serves its members with an uncommon dedication. It's a place where the focus remains steadfastly on the camaraderie of the game, culminating, perhaps, in a post-round gathering on the patio, and where friendly competition thrives.
