RIDGEPOINTE COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Jonesboro, AR, USA
Designed by Dave Bennett
RidgePointe Country Club occupies rolling terrain in Jonesboro, Arkansas, a city in the northeast corner of the state known primarily as a regional agricultural and educational center. Designed by Dave Bennett and opened in the mid-1990s, the course serves as the centerpiece of a residential community development. Bennett, who has designed numerous courses across the South and Midwest, worked with the natural elevation changes of the property to create a layout that moves across ridgelines and through wooded corridors.
The routing takes advantage of the site's topography, with several holes playing along elevated ridges that provide views across the surrounding farmland and residential areas. Mature hardwoods frame many holes, and water features come into play on multiple occasions throughout the round. The design incorporates both strategic and penal elements, with fairway bunkers positioned to challenge tee shots and greenside hazards that require precision on approach shots.
RidgePointe functions as a private country club serving Jonesboro and the surrounding region. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse that hosts member events and social gatherings typical of clubs in mid-sized Southern cities. The course provides a championship-length test from the back tees while offering multiple forward tee options for members of varying skill levels.
