LODGE OF FOUR SEASONS RESORT
🇺🇸 Lake Ozark, MO, USA
Designed by Ken Kavanaugh

The Ridge at Lodge of Four Seasons Resort is a Ken Kavanaugh design situated along the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri. Kavanaugh, a regional architect active primarily in the Midwest during the latter decades of the twentieth century, created this course as part of the resort's expansion of golf amenities. The layout takes advantage of the rolling, forested terrain characteristic of the Ozarks region, with elevation changes and natural rock outcroppings providing both visual interest and strategic challenge throughout the round.
The course winds through dense hardwood forests and features several holes that offer views of the lake and surrounding hills. The routing incorporates the natural topography, with doglegs that follow the land's contours and greens positioned on plateaus or nestled into hillsides. Water comes into play on select holes, though the primary defenses are the elevation changes, tree-lined fairways, and undulating putting surfaces that require careful club selection and course management.
As part of a resort property, The Ridge serves both guests of the Lodge of Four Seasons and outside daily-fee play. The course complements the resort's other golf offerings and provides a more secluded, wooded experience compared to lakeside layouts. The setting emphasizes the natural beauty of the Lake of the Ozarks area, with the design working within rather than against the existing landscape features.
