CORAL RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
Designed by Rees Jones

Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale, a product of the post-war golf boom, stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of uncomplicated, member-centric design. The club, defined by its unpretentious nature, thrives on camaraderie, casual play, and a genuine passion for the game rather than a stuffy reverence for tradition.
Architect Dick Wilson's parkland layout offers a classically Floridian experience, marked by generous fairways lined with mature trees and subtly contoured greens. The course subtly favors a draw, and thoughtful bunkering penalizes wayward shots more so than rewarding strategic brilliance. The club fostered a strong amateur competitive environment over the decades, drawing talent from around the southeastern United States.
While not a regular fixture on professional tournament circuits, Coral Ridge has hosted U.S. Open qualifiers, showcasing its playability and the club has hosted a plethora of local and regional amateur competitions. A strong contingent of South Florida business leaders and families anchor the membership, drawn by the club's relaxed atmosphere and convenient location close to the area's many attractions. Post-round, members often gather on the veranda, enjoying the famous Coral Ridge "Reefer," the club's signature frozen rum runner, a local delicacy.
