RedStick Course
Vero Beach, FL, USA

RedStick, nestled amidst the citrus groves of Vero Beach, carries the spirit of Old Florida within its fairways – a place where golf is woven into the fabric of community life. This traditionally styled course offers a playable yet thought-provoking experience for golfers of all skill levels. Architect Michael Hurdzan crafted RedStick with subtle artistry. The course utilizes the naturally rolling terrain, incorporating strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that demand strategic decision-making without overwhelming length. Generous landing areas offer a sense of forgiveness, while carefully contoured greens present a true test of putting skill. The course is neither exceptionally long nor unduly narrow, but those who favor a draw off the tee will find themselves particularly well-positioned. RedStick is a club deeply rooted in its local community, fostering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you might find members swapping stories on the veranda after a round, a place where golf and camaraderie intertwine seamlessly. And while it may not host major championships, RedStick holds a special place in the hearts of its loyal members, offering a slice of golfing paradise away from the spotlight. RedStick’s claim to fame may not be on the professional circuit, but within its walls lies an incredible clam chowder – a post round delicacy, locally famous in Indian River county that keeps members and guests alike, coming back.

The layout at RedStick is very good, the entire property is remote from the outside world and the emphasis they put on phones/strictly golf is just incredible. RedStick is not the best golf course I’ve played from a design standpoint but every time I’ve been out there the conditioning has been some of the best I have ever seen, you will not see a blade of grass out of place on any tee box you set foot on. The food and service are second to none and overall spending the day at RedStick is one the best holistic golf experiences you can have! Hence the high rating for the whole experience, not just the golf course
Such a great experience and an even better membership. Emphasis on no phones and golf-only. Love that and don't get that often
Conditions are mint. A very tough start (1-4) before getting slightly easier the rest of the way. A great set of green complexes, many are raised, making up and downs really tough.

The journey to RedStick Golf Club begins at either Orlando Melbourne International Airport, roughly forty minutes north, or Palm Beach International, an hour to the south, with the former offering the more direct route into Florida's Treasure Coast. Private arrivals favor Vero Beach Regional Airport, a discreet facility mere minutes from the club gates. The drive itself traces the Atlantic coastline along stretches of A1A and State Road 60, where the rhythm of coastal Florida - citrus groves giving way to salt air and glimpses of the Indian River Lagoon - sets a tranquil cadence before arrival at one of the region's most quietly celebrated private sanctuaries.
