RASPBERRY FALLS GOLF & HUNT CLUB
🇺🇸 Leesburg, VA, USA
Designed by Gary Player
Raspberry Falls, carved into the rolling Virginia countryside near Leesburg, is a testament to Gary Player's commitment to blending Scottish links-style golf with American terrain. The course, while not hosting professional events, presents a demanding yet fair test where sprawling fescue grasses frame undulating fairways, rewarding strategic play over sheer power. Accuracy is paramount as subtle elevation changes and well-placed bunkers penalize errant shots.
While the course design offers a classic feel, Raspberry Falls has evolved to become a community hub for northern Virginia golfers seeking a high-quality, accessible experience. The club fosters a welcoming atmosphere, particularly appealing to families and casual players. The nineteenth hole is known for its post-round camaraderie and hearty fare.
Raspberry Falls has built its reputation on providing a challenging and scenic round of golf without pretense. It’s a place where the focus remains squarely on enjoying the game and the camaraderie of fellow players, rather than chasing rankings or accolades. Its enduring appeal lies in its unpretentious approach to the golfing experience.
Reviews
Amazing course for special occasions and events. Really fun to play with nice views. Not too much water or hazards to keep it high handicap friendly which I love. The cart path is great weaving in and out of the woods as long as giving a good view of the hole you are on.
