Ragged Mountain Resort

Ragged Mountain occupies terrain in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region of central New Hampshire, where the course shares its setting with a ski resort of the same name. Jeff Jullian designed the layout to work with the property's natural elevation changes and wooded character, routing holes through a landscape shaped by glacial activity and the area's recreational history. The course sits at the base of Ragged Mountain itself, a modest peak that anchors the surrounding terrain and provides the backdrop for much of the golf experience. The design takes advantage of the rolling topography typical of this part of New Hampshire, where fairways move through corridors of hardwood and conifer forest. Elevation shifts create variety in shot requirements and sightlines, and the routing incorporates natural features common to the region—rocky outcroppings, wetland areas, and seasonal streams. The course serves both resort guests and local golfers, functioning as part of a four-season recreational facility that includes skiing, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities.
