QUIDNESSETT COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 North Kingstown, RI, USA
Designed by Geoffrey Cornish

Quidnessett, sculpted into the rolling landscape of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, stands as a testament to classic New England golf, its origins steeped in the early days of recreational golf in the United States. Carved from a landscape of gently undulating hills and pockets of mature hardwoods, the course blends the natural contours of the terrain with strategic design.
Originally designed by Orrin Smith, the course's parkland character presents golfers with tree-lined fairways that reward thoughtful shot placement and a strategic approach, and the club brought in Ron Forse to bring the course into the new century. The course is known for its tricky par 3s, especially late in the round, where club selection and wind direction become critical. Though not a regular on the professional circuit, Quidnessett has long been a favorite of accomplished amateurs in the region.
Beyond the course, Quidnessett fosters a convivial atmosphere amongst its membership. While formal, the club has a family feel and is known for its active men's and women's leagues, and a vibrant junior program. The clubhouse veranda, overlooking the 18th green, is a popular spot to relive the round and enjoy a leisurely lunch.
