PULA GOLF
🇪🇸 Son Servera, Islas Baleares, ES
Designed by Francisco López, José María Olazábal
Pula Golf sits in the municipality of Son Servera on Mallorca's eastern coast, part of the Balearic Islands. The course was designed by Spanish architect Francisco López in collaboration with José María Olazábal, the two-time Masters champion who has contributed to several European course designs. The layout opened in the late 1990s and occupies gently rolling terrain characteristic of this part of the island, where the landscape transitions from coastal plains to the low hills of the interior.
The routing takes advantage of natural elevation changes and incorporates native Mediterranean vegetation including pines, carob trees, and indigenous scrub. Water features appear on several holes, and the design emphasizes strategic bunkering that rewards accurate placement over pure distance. The course measures around 6,400 meters from the back tees and offers multiple teeing grounds to accommodate different skill levels. Views extend across the surrounding countryside and, from elevated points, toward the Mediterranean.
Pula Golf operates as part of a residential development but welcomes visiting golfers year-round, benefiting from Mallorca's mild climate that makes the island a popular winter golf destination for northern Europeans. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse with dining services. The course serves both tourists staying in nearby coastal resorts and local members, contributing to the island's established golf tourism infrastructure alongside several other layouts scattered across Mallorca.
