Pine Burr at Pine Burr Country Club

Pine Burr Country Club sits in the piney woods of southeastern Mississippi, approximately twenty miles north of the Gulf Coast. Earl Stone designed the course, which opened in the 1960s during a period when Stone was actively building courses throughout Mississippi and neighboring states. Stone, a regional architect based in Mississippi, created layouts that worked with the rolling, wooded terrain characteristic of the region rather than against it.

The course occupies land typical of the coastal plain—gently rolling with stands of longleaf and loblolly pine, occasional hardwoods, and natural drainage corridors.
