THE PLAYERS CLUB AT DEER CREEK
🇺🇸 Omaha, NE, USA
Designed by Arnold Palmer, Ed Seay

Deer Creek Country Club, now known as The Players Club at Deer Creek, in the Omaha suburbs, whispers of a different era, a time when understated elegance defined the golfing experience. While not necessarily a stop on the professional circuit, the course remains a staple of local golf in the Cornhusker state.
Designed in the early 1960s during a period of increased focus on playability and less severe penal traits in golf course design, Deer Creek offers a relatively forgiving parkland layout. While architect and year remain somewhat lost to the mists of history, the course's character is defined by mature trees lining gently rolling fairways. It favors a strategic approach and solid ball-striking, rather than brute force off the tee. Its course can feel very long, but its also fairly wide in most places, so players can keep the ball in play if they are on the straight and narrow. Expect to use every club in your bag and maybe a ball or two.
The spirit of friendly competition thrives at The Players Club. Its membership includes a mix of avid golfers and social enthusiasts, who often gather to partake in their famous Deer Creek Melt. This culinary creation is a staple of the club's dining experience, known for its mouthwatering combination of grilled beef, melted cheese, and tangy sauce served on toasted sourdough.
