Owls Nest at Owls Nest Golf Club

Owls Nest sits in the White Mountains region of central New Hampshire, near Campton, where the course takes advantage of the area's natural elevation changes and mountain views. Mark Mungeam designed the layout to work with the rolling, wooded terrain characteristic of this part of New England, routing holes through forests and across open meadows with the Presidential Range visible from several points on the property.

The course occupies land that transitions between valley floor and hillside, creating a variety of playing angles and stances. Mungeam's design incorporates the existing topography rather than extensive earthmoving, so golfers encounter holes that climb, descend, and traverse slopes. The routing moves through different landscape zones—some holes play through corridors of pine and hardwood, while others open to wider views across the surrounding mountains.
