OLIVAS LINKS GOLF COURSE
🇺🇸 Ventura, CA, USA
Designed by Forrest Richardson, William Francis Bell
Olivas Links, sculpted from the seaside flats of Ventura, California, delivers a distinctly Scottish links experience under the Southern California sun. Its heritage is rooted in providing accessible, enjoyable golf, a community-focused spirit that remains at its core.
Designed in the late 1950s, the course is defined by its undulating terrain, firm and fast fairways, and strategic bunkering. The layout favors players who can control their ball flight in the often-present coastal winds. While the holes are generally open, subtle borrows and strategically placed hazards demand careful consideration on every shot, testing a player's course management rather than raw power.
Olivas Links has served as a popular venue for local amateur competitions. Known locally for its relaxed atmosphere and playability, Olivas Links provides a stern but fair test for players of all skill levels. It is considered a solid municipal course.
Reviews
If you catch it bad winds it can be a really tough course. Good value out in ventura
Nice track within an hour 20min of west side of LA. Fairways, greens, and tee boxes all in good condition. Facilities consists of two mobile boxed buildings, nothing fancy, but a nice track for the fellas!
