Oak Ridge at The Landings Club

Oak Ridge is one of six championship courses at The Landings Club, a large residential golf community situated on Skidaway Island just south of Savannah. Designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1988, the course reflects Hills's characteristic approach of working with natural terrain and incorporating strategic bunkering and water features into the design. The layout takes advantage of the coastal Georgia Lowcountry landscape, with fairways routed through stands of live oaks draped in Spanish moss, alongside tidal marshes, and past lagoons that come into play on several holes.

The course measures over 6,800 yards from the back tees and features generous landing areas balanced by well-placed hazards that reward accurate shot-making. Water appears on roughly half the holes, requiring thoughtful club selection and course management. The greens are typically mid-sized with subtle undulations, consistent with Hills's design philosophy of creating challenging but fair putting surfaces. The routing makes use of elevation changes modest by Lowcountry standards, providing variety in lies and visual interest throughout the round.

The Landings Club operates as a private equity club serving the residential community on Skidaway Island. With six courses designed by different architects—including Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, and Willard Byrd—the club offers members considerable variety in their golf experience. Oak Ridge contributes a traditional parkland character to this collection, emphasizing tree-lined corridors and strategic water placement within the distinctive coastal Georgia setting.
