Norton Country Club occupies rolling terrain in southeastern Massachusetts, approximately thirty miles south of Boston. Brian Silva designed the course, which opened in the mid-1990s as part of a residential community development. Silva, a New England-based architect known for restoration work at classic Golden Age courses and for crafting new layouts that echo traditional design principles, routed the course across varied topography that includes wooded corridors, wetland areas, and elevation changes characteristic of the region's glacial landscape.

The layout takes advantage of the natural contours, with holes playing through stands of mature hardwoods and pines. Water features come into play on several holes, and the design incorporates strategic bunkering and green complexes that reward thoughtful course management.
