BUNKER HILLS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Coon Rapids, MN, USA
Designed by David Gill

Bunker Hills Golf Club's North Course is a public facility located in Coon Rapids, a northern suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul. Designed by David Gill, the course serves the Twin Cities metropolitan area as part of a larger golf complex that has provided accessible golf to Minnesota residents for several decades. The property operates under the Anoka County park system, reflecting the region's commitment to public recreation and municipal golf.
The North Course plays through gently rolling terrain characteristic of the glacially-formed landscape of the upper Midwest. Mature tree lines frame many holes, and water features come into play on several occasions, typical of courses built in this part of Minnesota where wetlands and natural drainage patterns shape routing decisions. The layout requires course management and accuracy rather than overwhelming length, making it suitable for a range of skill levels while still presenting challenges for accomplished players.
As a public facility in a densely populated suburban area, Bunker Hills attracts a diverse membership and daily-fee clientele. The course sees steady play throughout Minnesota's golf season, which typically runs from late April through October. The complex includes practice facilities and a clubhouse that serves the practical needs of a high-volume public operation, focusing on accessibility and value rather than exclusivity.
Reviews
North is probably the most interesting nine out at Bunker, East and West are generally more back and forth but East is closer to the North nine which has the more interesting land. Not totally sure why this host the high school state championships every year, but it is generally in good shape.
