PUERTO LOS CABOS GOLF CLUB
🇲🇽 San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, MX
Designed by Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus

Nicklaus II/Norman at Puerto Los Cabos is where the Sea of Cortez truly dictates the round. Cut into the dramatic desert foothills just north of San José del Cabo, this composite course bears the distinct marks of two giants of the game. Its routing favors power more than finesse, rewarding aggressive lines off the tee across its sprawling fairways, a hallmark of the modern design era. A high premium is paid to finding the short grass, though, as errant shots will be swallowed by the rugged surrounds.
The original Nicklaus design was later enhanced by Greg Norman, and the marriage of these two visions is evident. The holes closest to the water, particularly those that plunge dramatically toward the coast, represent some of the most photographed and talked about vistas in Los Cabos. While this is hardly a course steeped in tournament history, its sheer beauty and challenge has made it a favorite among visiting golfers.
Beyond the golf, Puerto Los Cabos is known for its relaxed atmosphere and understated luxury. The members are an eclectic mix of residents and visitors, drawn to the area for its tranquility and the promise of a world-class golf experience, without the stuffiness that sometimes accompanies such settings. And although there may not be a burger dog, the fresh seafood served overlooking the Sea of Cortez is a worthy consolation prize.
