New Kuta at New Kuta Golf Course

New Kuta Golf Course occupies dramatic clifftop terrain along Bali's southern Bukit Peninsula in Badung Regency. Designed by the Golfplan team of Ronald Fream, David Dale, and Kevin Ramsey, the course is routed across former limestone quarry lands that drop sharply toward the Indian Ocean. The routing takes advantage of significant elevation changes, with several holes playing along or above coastal bluffs that provide expansive ocean views. The reclaimed quarry landscape creates a distinctive setting quite different from Bali's more traditional parkland courses.

The design incorporates the natural limestone formations and steep topography into the playing corridors, with holes moving through varied elevations and requiring strategic club selection given the vertical terrain. Several holes play directly along the clifftops, where ocean winds become a significant factor. The coastal exposure and limestone substrate give the course a links-like character in places, though the tropical climate and vegetation maintain the island setting. Water features appear on multiple holes, some integrated into the former quarry areas.

The course serves both resort guests and local membership, positioned near Bali's southern beach areas and the international airport. The facility operates as part of the island's golf tourism infrastructure, attracting visitors who combine beach holidays with golf. The clifftop location and ocean panoramas make it one of Bali's more scenically distinctive layouts, though the hilly terrain requires carts for most players.
