NEVEL MEADE GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Prospect, KY, USA
Designed by Steve Smyers

Nevel Meade Golf Club, nestled in the rolling hills of Prospect, Kentucky, whispers tales of ambitious design and a community forged on friendly competition. Designed in the late 1990s, the course presents a modern parkland layout across varied terrain, never far from the sounds and sites of motor vehicle traffic.
Architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan crafted a playable course that rewards power from the tee, but can test a player’s second shots into many undulated greens. The course features a number of memorable par 5s and challenging par 3s, making it a fun test for players of all skill levels.
While Nevel Meade has yet to host a major championship, it remains a popular destination for local tournaments and club events. It is known for its welcoming atmosphere and accessible layout, where the Kentucky social scene flourishes around post-round meals. The popular outdoor patio overlooks the eighteenth green.
Reviews
Easily the best quality public course in Louisville. Links-style course with very limited tree trouble. The elevation changes are a lot of fun, and paired with the lack of trees, blind shots can really be a challenge to gauge. Love holes 2-6-9-18. Range is subpar and no real clubhouse environment.
Links style course, favorite track in Louisville. Got the opportunity to play here with Austin Squires, once.
Outstanding public course in Louisville. When I think about this course I think about the short par 4s which offer a great risk reward opportunity.
