Nautico Escobar sits along the Paraná Delta waterways in Escobar, roughly 50 kilometers north of Buenos Aires. The course was designed by Roberto Serra, an Argentine architect who has worked extensively throughout the country's golf landscape. The club's location in the delta region gives the property a distinctive character among Buenos Aires-area courses, with the routing shaped by the area's natural water features and relatively flat terrain typical of river delta environments. The course reflects the challenges of building and maintaining golf in a delta setting, where water management and seasonal flooding patterns influence design and playability. The Paraná Delta's network of rivers and streams creates a unique backdrop, and the layout incorporates these natural waterways into the strategic framework. Players encounter holes where positioning matters considerably given the presence of water hazards and the limited room for error on a property constrained by its aquatic surroundings. Club Nautico Escobar functions as both a golf facility and a broader recreational club, common among Argentine clubs where social and family activities extend beyond golf. The nautical component reflects the delta location, with boating and water-based recreation integrated into club life. The course serves members and visitors seeking golf in a setting distinct from the parkland layouts more common in metropolitan Buenos Aires, offering a different test shaped by its riverine environment and the design considerations that come with building in Argentina's delta country.
