MINNEAPOLIS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 St. Louis Park, MN, USA
Designed by Willie Park Jr.
Minneapolis Golf Club is hallowed ground for Twin Cities golf, a place where generations of Minnesotans have tested their mettle against a deceptively challenging layout. Carved into the rolling parkland of St. Louis Park, the course favors a strategic approach; its tree-lined fairways and subtly undulating greens demand thoughtful club selection and precise execution. While it doesn't punish wayward drives with unplayable hazards, the placement of bunkers and mature trees ensures that even slightly errant shots will leave players facing demanding recovery attempts.
Originally designed by Willie Park Jr. during golf's burgeoning American era, Minneapolis Golf Club has undergone subtle refinements over the years. The course demands the kind of shot-making that has long been a staple of Midwest golf. The subtle doglegs, the slightly elevated greens, and the ever-present wind make for a course that requires both power and finesse.
While Minneapolis Golf Club may not host major championships on a national stage, its true value lies in its vibrant membership and deep-rooted history within the local golf community. The club's lore is rich with stories of hard-fought matches and legendary rounds, cementing its place as a cherished institution in the Twin Cities golf landscape. The clubhouse is also known for their walleye sandwich - a long-standing favorite of its members that is held as the best in the state.

If I was an old dude with f you money, this is were I’d become a member. Just 18 holes of solid golf
One of my favorite courses in the city. A true players club I have a blast here every single time. The Donald Ross layout is perfect and the new greens and bunkering are a beautiful sight. Love this place. If only they had the space for a real driving range 🫠
If this isn't the gem that nobody talks about in Minneapolis, I'm not sure what it is. This place is such a pleasure to play. Fun, challenging if you try to score and a lot of interesting shots. Good strategy. I would play here all the time if allowed.
Probaly played here 50 times over 40 years and it still holds up as a treat I look forward to every time. The re-sod and tree removal was a game changer. I adore the front 9. The 10th hole, however, is the electric chair and a stout Par 3. 18 is a gift of a finisher, imo.
A good, solid golf course. No frills (specifically the range). Sometimes a little repetitive at points, but a place I’d love to play every day.
The golfing club of Minneapolis, never gets old to play, the best course to play over and over again in the metro.
