MIMOSA HILLS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Morganton, NC, USA
Designed by Donald Ross

Mimosa Hills, etched into the rolling landscape near Morganton, NC, embodies classic Carolina golf hospitality while remaining refreshingly unpretentious. This parkland-style course, sculpted from gently undulating terrain, presents a fair test for all skill levels without demanding heroic carries or tricked-up greens.
Designed by Donald Ross's protégé, John LaFoy, Mimosa Hills recalls a bygone era where thoughtful strategy outweighed sheer power. While not nationally recognized, the course, located in the rolling foothills of western North Carolina, remains a beloved gathering place for its membership, a laid back group who enjoy the game for what it is.
The club’s relaxed atmosphere extends from the first tee to the nineteenth hole, where stories are shared and rivalries renewed over plates of their famous fried chicken, a Thursday night tradition rivaled only by Sunday brunch. It is a spot where a bad round is quickly forgotten, and the genuine camaraderie is always in good taste.
Reviews
A pure Ross that returns to the clubhouse at 3, 5, 9, and 12. Back 9 plays on a Ridge and offers great views. Notable volcano bunkers on 5th hole. 17 is a devilish short par 3. Good downhill finishing hole.
