GRANITE LINKS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Quincy, MA, USA
Designed by John Sanford

Granite Links Golf Club sits atop the former Quincy Quarries in Quincy, Massachusetts, overlooking Boston Harbor and the downtown skyline. Designed by John Sanford and opened in 2003, the course was built on a reclaimed granite quarry site, creating a distinctive elevated setting uncommon in the Boston area. The routing takes advantage of the dramatic topography, with significant elevation changes and exposed rock faces that reflect the property's industrial past. Views extend across the harbor to the city and surrounding coastline.
The layout features wide fairways and large, undulating greens that accommodate the exposed, windy conditions typical of the hilltop location. Sanford incorporated the natural granite outcroppings into the design, with several holes playing along or over remnants of the quarrying operation. Water comes into play on multiple holes, and the bunkering is substantial throughout. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees, providing a test for accomplished players while remaining accessible from forward tees.
Granite Links operates as a public facility and has become a popular venue for corporate and charity events in the Boston metropolitan area. The property includes a second 18-hole course, also designed by Sanford, and practice facilities. The clubhouse takes advantage of the elevation, offering panoramic views that complement the golf experience. The courses serve both local residents and visitors seeking a distinctive New England round within easy reach of downtown Boston.
