TPC AT SUGARLOAF
🇺🇸 Duluth, GA, USA
Designed by Greg Norman
Nestled within the gated enclave of TPC Sugarloaf, Meadows/Pines is a testament to the enduring vision of Greg Norman, who sculpted this course during the modern era of golf architecture. Undulating fairways wind through dense Georgia pines and hardwood forests, a landscape that rewards strategic play as much as brute power. Expect a demanding test where subtle doglegs and cleverly placed bunkers penalize wayward shots, and where the premium is on thoughtful course management, particularly on approach shots into the complex green complexes.
Beyond the golfing challenges, Meadows/Pines at TPC Sugarloaf cultivates a uniquely tight-knit community. The club, positioned in the affluent northern suburbs of Atlanta, has attracted a membership base of many former professional athletes and local sports broadcasters. This shared passion for sport fosters a convivial atmosphere both on and off the course.
While not a fixture on the professional tour schedule, TPC Sugarloaf has played host to significant amateur competitions, further enhancing its reputation within the regional golf community. The course maintains a high standard of conditioning year-round and delivers an experience worthy of its TPC designation. The membership here is particularly known for their love of sports memorabilia and collecting art.
TPC Sugarloaf has a robust and thriving junior golf academy which has a long and storied history of developing and nurturing young golfers into prominent figures. The club also hosts a number of high school golf tournaments.
Reviews
Superfast greens most of the time, great club
TPC Sugarloaf is exaclty the kind of course that urban sprawl and corporate planning delivers. McMansions galore. Farily souless property, but also perfectly fine. Like Maroon 5 but a golf course.
