BLACKWOLF RUN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Kohler, WI, USA
Designed by Pete Dye

Meadow Valleys at Blackwolf Run, sculpted into the glacial landscape of Kohler, Wisconsin, whispers of Pete Dye's relentless pursuit of challenge and beauty, a pursuit as uncompromising as the Sheboygan River that winds through its heart.
This is Dye's post-modern masterpiece on full display, a layout that feels both expansive and intensely intimate. Wide fairways invite the bold drive, but the approach shots are where the course truly tests the golfer's mettle. The fader is rewarded here, as doglegs left and strategic bunkering demand creativity and control. It's a course where heroic carries are balanced by the risk of finding one of Dye's infamous hazards, ensuring that every round is a memorable and sometimes humbling experience.
While Meadow Valleys hasn’t hosted events on the scale of its sibling course, The Straits, it remains a beloved test for accomplished players. Its challenges and aesthetics are consistently ranked among the best in the Midwest.
Beyond the course itself, Meadow Valleys at Blackwolf Run is a place where golfers gather to savor the pure joy of the game and a sense of community. The club's celebrated bratwurst, a Wisconsin staple, is more than just a post-round snack; it's a symbol of the camaraderie and shared experiences that define the Meadow Valleys experience.
Reviews
More playable course at Blackwolf. Pretty good Pete Dye layout. Kohler course so service is top notch. 9 holes are part of the Championship layout used for the two US Women’s Opens played in Kohler. Greens are great and great variety of holes.
F9 is through the prairie and nothing special, but the B9 makes up for it with dramatic par 3s and holes along the Sheboygan River. Very fun 9
My least favorite of the Kohler courses. Fine, but never yearn to play it with the others nearby.
Not as iconic as River course but is still very beautiful and well maintained.
Really solid, nothing special
