MARSH LANDING COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, USA
Designed by Arnold Palmer, Ed Seay

Marsh Landing Country Club sits in Ponte Vedra Beach along Florida's northeastern coast, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and opened in 1980. The course occupies a transitional landscape where coastal marshlands meet inland terrain, giving the routing its defining character. The design incorporates natural wetlands and tidal marsh areas throughout, with the Intracoastal Waterway visible from several holes. Palmer and Seay shaped the course to work with these water features rather than against them, creating strategic decisions around forced carries and approach angles.
The layout measures over 6,800 yards from the championship tees and features Bermuda grass fairways and greens typical of the region. Several holes play directly along marsh edges, where tidal movement can affect the visual perspective and wind patterns shift with the coastal weather. The par threes vary considerably in length and character, while the longer par fours demand accurate positioning to set up approaches to greens protected by water or marsh on multiple sides.
Marsh Landing operates as a private club and serves a residential community within Ponte Vedra Beach. The club maintains a traditional country club structure with golf as the central amenity, complemented by tennis and social facilities. The course has hosted various regional amateur events over the decades, though it has not served as a venue for professional tour competition. The Palmer-Seay design remains largely intact, with periodic updates to maintain playability and conditioning standards appropriate to the Florida climate and membership expectations.
Reviews
Nice course and layout along the marsh of the Intercoastal. We played after some heavy rain and the entire front 9 that runs through the marsh was soggy and the cart paths were flooded. Still in good shape and lots of fun and challenging holes
