LOST TREE CLUB
🇺🇸 North Palm Beach, FL, USA
Designed by Mark Mahannah

Lost Tree is where Jack Nicklaus first cemented his indelible mark on course design, carving a challenging and visually captivating layout from the flat, sandy landscape of North Palm Beach. The course favors strategic play over brute power, with strategically placed bunkers and subtle undulations demanding careful consideration from tee to green. Fairways can feel generous but reward precise approaches. Doglegs and water hazards frame many holes, testing players’ ability to shape shots and manage risk.
Originally envisioned by Nicklaus, Lost Tree has seen thoughtful updates over the years to maintain its relevance and challenge. While not a fixture on professional tournament schedules, the course’s demanding layout and pristine conditions have long made it a favorite among discerning golfers, particularly those who value shot-making and strategic thinking.
The membership at Lost Tree is known for its understated elegance and deep appreciation for the game. It is a sanctuary for those who cherish tradition and value the camaraderie found in a shared passion for golf. Lost Tree offers a refined and challenging golf experience that stands apart. Known also as the "Winter White House" to past presidents, Lost Tree Club members relish in its noted lore of being a place where deals are made, and respite is found.
Reviews
Fantastic community in SFL. Golf, private beach, tennis, and elite facilities. Home to Jack Nicklaus himself and he’s tinkered with the course a ton over the years. Every green is elevated and surrounded by bunkers on almost every side, so you have to be pinpoint accurate with approach shots and constantly be hitting shots to get wedges in your hand. In typical Florida fashion, there are many holes flanked by water, which can sometimes be magnets for your ball. The club itself is home to many of golf’s figureheads from Jimmy Dunne to Seth Waugh and if you walk down the range you’re bound to see bags and member tags from most if not all the top 25 clubs in the country.
First time playing Florida golf, great club and really fun course
