Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club sits in the hills above Benahavís in Andalucía, approximately ten kilometers inland from the Costa del Sol. Designed by Severiano Ballesteros and opened in 1991, the course reflects the Spanish champion's strategic approach to golf architecture, emphasizing shot placement and course management over pure length. The property occupies elevated terrain in the foothills between Marbella and Ronda, with views extending toward the Mediterranean and surrounding mountain ranges.

The routing works across rolling, sometimes steep topography characteristic of this part of southern Spain. Ballesteros incorporated the natural contours into his design, creating holes that move up and down through pine and cork oak woodland. Elevation changes factor into club selection throughout the round, and several holes play across ravines or require carries over natural gullies. The layout demands accuracy from the tee, as many fairways are framed by trees and feature strategic bunkering that rewards proper angles of approach.

Los Arqueros serves as the centerpiece of a residential community that developed around the course during the 1990s. The club includes practice facilities and a clubhouse positioned to take advantage of the hillside setting.
