The Links course at Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort opened in 2007 as the second layout at this property on Spain's southern coast, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. The course occupies terrain along the Mediterranean shoreline between La Línea and the Rock of Gibraltar, which provides a dramatic backdrop visible from much of the layout. While the name suggests traditional linksland, the routing incorporates coastal dunes and sandy soil in places but also features more typical parkland characteristics inland, reflecting the transitional nature of the site.

The design takes advantage of elevation changes and coastal winds, with several holes playing along ridgelines that offer views across the Strait of Gibraltar toward North Africa. The routing moves through varied terrain, with the more exposed holes near the water presenting a links-style challenge of ground game and wind management, while others sheltered by vegetation require different strategic considerations. The course measures over 6,000 meters from the back tees and features wide fairways in keeping with the links concept, though the presence of water hazards and more defined rough in sections distinguishes it from pure seaside links golf.
