Lilleshall Hall Golf Club occupies parkland in Shropshire near Newport, approximately ten miles from Telford. The course was designed by Harry S. Colt and opened in the 1930s, set within the grounds of a historic estate. Colt, known for his strategic approach and naturalistic bunkering, created a layout that works with the property's mature woodland and gently rolling terrain. The routing takes advantage of established trees that frame holes and influence shot-making, characteristic of Colt's ability to integrate golf architecture into existing landscapes.
