LEOPARD CREEK COUNTRY CLUB
🇿🇦 Malelane, Mpumalanga, ZA
Designed by Gary Player

Leopard Creek, carved along the southern edge of Kruger National Park, dares to bring golf into the African bush unlike any other course. Characterized by risk-reward decisions, the course favors a strategic golfer. Wide fairways appear forgiving, but hidden contours and cunning bunker placements reward calculated play over brute force, especially navigating the ever present wind.
Designed by Gary Player, the course incorporates the landscape as a strategic element. Elevated tees offer panoramic views of the Crocodile River. Water hazards teem with wildlife, where the occasional crocodile or antelope act as gallery. This careful integration blurs the lines between course and wilderness, resulting in the course known for its unforgettable, if sometimes unnerving, playing experience.
Host to the Alfred Dunhill Championship since 2004, Leopard Creek has witnessed some of the game's greats grapple with its unique challenges. The club is as exclusive as it is captivating, offering a privileged few the chance to experience golf in a setting where the wild and the manicured exist in unparalleled harmony. Stories abound of players pausing mid-swing, momentarily distracted by a trumpeting elephant or a leopard slinking through the undergrowth.
