CHATEAU ELAN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Braselton, GA, USA
Designed by Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead
Legends at Chateau Elan, cradled in the rolling hills of Braselton, Georgia, unfolds as a testament to traditional golf course design, offering an experience that prioritizes strategic play over brute force. Marked by generous fairways that are often forgiving, it is a classic course that rewards thoughtful shot-making with blind tee shots, gentle doglegs, and subtle elevation changes weaving through the North Georgia foothills and woodlands.
Designed by Denis Griffiths, the Legends course, while not having hosted major professional tournaments, has cultivated a devoted following among golfers who appreciate a walkable, player-friendly layout. Griffiths also designed the sister course, the Woodlands course, which has garnered more acclaim for its difficulty. The Legends course has a reputation as the "easier" of the two courses, however, still offers a fair challenge.
Beyond the course, Chateau Elan is renowned in the area for its hospitality and the overall resort experience, complete with wineries, a European-style spa, and multiple dining options. Post-round, golfers often linger at the clubhouse, savoring the sunset views and the camaraderie, further enhancing the appeal of Legends at Chateau Elan.
