THE LEGACY GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Henderson, NV, USA
Designed by Arthur Hills

The Legacy Golf Club opened in 1989 as one of Arthur Hills's notable desert designs in the Las Vegas valley. Located in Henderson just southeast of the Strip, the course was carved from rugged desert terrain and incorporates the natural topography and native vegetation characteristic of the Mojave landscape. Hills routed the layout to take advantage of elevation changes and framed holes with desert washes, rocky outcroppings, and mature mesquite, creating a contrast to the more parkland-style courses that dominate much of the valley.
The course plays as a traditional par 72 and features strategic bunkering and water hazards that come into play on several holes. The design emphasizes shot values and course management, with risk-reward opportunities balanced against the need for accuracy in the desert environment. Views of the Las Vegas skyline and surrounding mountains provide a distinctive backdrop throughout the round.
The Legacy has served as a tournament venue over the years and maintains a semi-private structure that allows public access alongside member play. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse that caters to both local golfers and visitors seeking a desert golf experience outside the resort corridor. The course represents an earlier generation of Las Vegas-area golf development, predating many of the high-profile resort courses that followed in subsequent decades.
Reviews
Typical 90’s era Vegas course a rare for the west Arthur Hills design . Desert landscape winding through a housing tract with on and water being the main hazards. Used to be in disrepair but I understand that they’ve pumped some money into the course. Main claim to fame is a par three with the 4 sets of tees being the shape of suits of playing cards. ♥️ ♠️♦️♣️. Reasonably priced for a second tier Vegas course
