Lakeview Woods is a daily-fee course located in Summit, Mississippi, a small town in the southwestern part of the state near the Louisiana border. The course was designed by Sid Germany, a regional architect who worked primarily across Mississippi and neighboring states during the latter decades of the twentieth century. Germany's designs typically emphasize playability for a wide range of golfers while working within the natural topography and vegetation of their settings. The course occupies rolling terrain characteristic of this part of Mississippi, where the land transitions between the Mississippi River floodplain to the west and the more varied uplands to the east. The routing likely incorporates mature hardwoods and pines that frame holes and define playing corridors, with elevation changes that add visual interest and strategic variety to approach shots. Water features, possibly including ponds or small lakes suggested by the course name, come into play on several holes. As a public-access facility in a rural community, Lakeview Woods serves local golfers and visitors traveling through the region. The course provides a straightforward test of golf without excessive length or severe hazards, reflecting Germany's approach to creating accessible layouts. The setting offers a quiet, wooded atmosphere typical of courses built in smaller Mississippi towns, where golf remains a recreational amenity closely tied to community life.
