ARROWHEAD COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Myrtle Beach, SC, USA
Designed by Raymond Floyd, Tom Jackson

Arrowhead Country Club in Myrtle Beach features 27 holes divided into three nines—Lakes, Waterway, and Cypress—designed by Raymond Floyd in collaboration with Tom Jackson and opened in 1995. Floyd, the four-time major champion, brought a player's perspective to the routing, emphasizing strategic variety and shot values across the property's natural Lowcountry terrain. The Lakes and Waterway nines form one of the three possible 18-hole combinations available to members and guests.
The Lakes nine incorporates the wetlands and natural water features characteristic of the Carolina coastal plain, with several holes playing alongside or across ponds and marshland. The Waterway nine takes its name from its proximity to the Intracoastal Waterway, which influences both the routing and the visual character of certain holes. Both nines move through corridors of pine and hardwood, with elevation changes modest but sufficient to create varied lies and strategic interest. The design reflects Floyd's preference for rewarding accuracy and course management over pure length.
Arrowhead operates as a semi-private facility serving both members and daily-fee players, a common model in the Myrtle Beach golf market. The club sits within a residential community and offers a clubhouse with dining and practice facilities. As one of several dozen courses in the Myrtle Beach area, Arrowhead provides a mid-tier option with the distinction of Floyd's design pedigree and the flexibility of its three-nine configuration.
