Lake Lawn is a resort course in Delavan, Wisconsin, designed by Dick Nugent and opened in 1968. The course sits on the southern shore of Delavan Lake in the Walworth County lake district, a region that has drawn vacationers from Chicago and Milwaukee since the late nineteenth century. Nugent, a Chicago-based architect who worked extensively throughout the Midwest during the 1960s and 1970s, routed the layout to incorporate the natural lakeside terrain and the rolling topography characteristic of this glacially formed landscape. The course measures just over 6,600 yards from the back tees and plays as a parkland design with tree-lined fairways and water features that come into play on several holes.
