STARFIRE GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Scottsdale, AZ, USA
Designed by Arnold Palmer, Ed Seay

King at Starfire Golf Club, carved into the Arizona desert landscape of Scottsdale, plays less like a typical desert course and more like an oasis challenging players to make smart decisions. This means there's no real "desert golf" here, you won't be hitting off of a tee box onto the green like a moon scape as commonly seen with the desert landscapes. Here, players will be able to enjoy the lush green of a beautiful open course.
Designed originally by Arnold Palmer and later refined, its generous fairways belie the challenges hidden within the undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. The course doesn't punish wayward drives severely, but rewards thoughtful approaches. Water comes into play sparingly, but effectively, demanding calculated risks and precise club selection. Its lack of overly dramatic elevation changes and manageable length make the course accessible to a wide range of golfers, while still providing ample test for the seasoned player.
While not a regular stop for major professional tournaments, King at Starfire holds a respected position within the local golfing community. It's considered a great place for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a great course and day of golf.
